Path to
Net Zero

As an industry, we are working towards Net Zero. This vision for a low-emissions future with reduced operating costs, takes:

  • a drive to build homes that are carbon smart;
  • access to innovative equipment;
  • modern methods for healthier homes;
  • and an engaged, capable workforce with the skills to deliver.

In addition to certifying Net Zero homes, EnerQuality is bringing together Ontario home building companies with the people and technology that will make Net Zero an achievable goal, for a sustainable future.

NET ZERO TECHNOLOGY ADOPTION PROJECT (TAP)

The Net Zero Technology Adoption Pilot (TAP) was designed to support capability building by helping home builders adopt emerging (as opposed to mainstream) energy efficiency, renewable energy, or distributed generation technologies.

The pilot project connected 15 leading builders with manufacturers of innovative Net Zero technologies products, integrating these technologies in demonstration homes.

“Just a quick note of thanks for hosting the NetZero Home Builders course and welcoming me to attend. It was a great ‘baselining’ education opportunity for me, and I’m really looking forward to the Renovator portion in February. Also, Andy Oding, Building Knowledge Canada, was a tremendous instructor so pass along my thank you to him as well!”
